Every now and then, a project comes along that perfectly blends creativity, collaboration, and great beer—and our two-day shoot with Madri was exactly that. Working with their team is always a highlight for us. They bring an infectious enthusiasm to every production, and their bold, unmistakable branding is a joy to capture on camera. This project allowed us to explore both lifestyle storytelling and detailed studio craftsmanship, giving us a full spectrum of visual content to work with.

Below, we take you behind the scenes of what went into the shoot, how we approached each day, and what made this collaboration such a standout.
Day One: Capturing Lifestyle Moments at Bambalan, Bristol
Our first day took us into the vibrant heart of Bristol city centre, where Bambalan became the perfect backdrop for Madri’s warm, sociable identity. With sweeping rooftop views, bursts of colour, and a naturally energetic atmosphere, Bambalan gave us a setting that required very little set dressing. The environment itself did most of the storytelling.
This was a full production day, complete with a team of models, a menu of mouth-watering food supplied by Bambalan, and—luckily for us—a touch of Bristol sunshine. Together, these elements helped us craft genuine, relaxed lifestyle imagery that reflects the easygoing spirit of Madri.

Because the location was already so rich visually, we were able to dedicate more time to perfecting the details: styling the product, shaping natural light, and building a comfortable rapport with the models. That connection is a crucial part of our process; when the models feel at ease, their interactions and expressions become naturally engaging—and that authenticity is exactly what we want to capture.

Day Two: Studio Precision, Food Styling and Multi-Ratio Assets
After an energetic first day outdoors, day two brought us back to our Bristol studio, where the focus shifted to a more controlled, detail-driven approach. Here, we concentrated on food styling, product precision, and perfecting the iconic Madri pint.
We created a full spread of Spanish-inspired dishes—rich with colour, texture, and warmth—to pair with the beer. The studio environment allowed us to craft each shot with intention, carefully shaping the light and adjusting every detail to ensure both the pint and the food looked their absolute best.

A key part of the day was producing images in a wide variety of ratios and formats. With Madri’s content being used across everything from social media to in-store displays, we needed to capture assets that would translate seamlessly across multiple platforms. This meant planning compositions that worked in square, vertical, and widescreen formats, ensuring the brand’s visual consistency no matter where the images would live.
From managing foam levels on the perfect pour to designing compositions tailored to different digital and retail uses, the day combined technical precision with creative styling.

Bringing It All Together
What made this shoot so memorable wasn’t just the locations or the visuals—it was the collaboration. Working closely with Madri allowed us to combine vibrant, spontaneous moments with carefully crafted studio imagery, resulting in a well-rounded collection of assets ready for campaigns, social media, and in-store displays.

We loved every minute of bringing this two-day shoot to life and can’t wait for the next opportunity to collaborate.
